This idiom (a phrase that does not mean exactly what it says) means a long, long time. It comes from the late 16th century when the cows took a long time to come from the fields to the barn.

I am a photographer who loves to paint. Or, I am a painter who loves photography? No matter, they are very compatible! :) I really enjoy working in watercolor, and love the magical qualities that it can give to a work of art! You will see photography, watercolor and acrylic paintings on my bubble. Hope you enjoy! :)

I love this scene, Angie – are these cornflowers in the foreground? Beautiful….
I didn’t know the idiom, thanks for educating me ! :-)
    Have a great day xx

  • You are right about the flowers in the foreground. They are also called chickory, but quite often called cornflowers as well. This weed was used to make coffee when it was unavailable during the depression. Thanks for the fave!! :)
