“Keep your faith in all beautiful things;
in the sun when it is hidden, in the
spring when it is gone.” ~ Roy R Gilson

“Every spring is the only spring-a perpetual
astonishment.” ~ Ellis Peters

This watercolor was inspired by memories of my childhood pet sheep. She spent more of her time in our yard than the pasture, sleeping near our house, occasionally in the flowerbeds, and begging for soda crackers at our back door. I frequently took her on long walks with a large dog collar and leash, and I believe she thought she was one of the family dogs. Rest in peace, Ba, Ba.

9" by 12" watercolor, Strathmore 140# coldpress, Winsor and Newton watercolors

I am a photographer who loves to paint. Or, I am a painter who loves photography? No matter, they are very compatible! :) I really enjoy working in watercolor, and love the magical qualities that it can give to a work of art! You will see photography,watercolor and acrylic paintings on my bubble. Hope you enjoy! :)

    I love the writing that goes with this, Angie. What a lovely memory you have. I used to dream about having a farmhouse with a barn and some land, and a few sheep and chickens. I would use their wool to make hand made rugs on a loom. Dreams for me but your memories!

  • I hope you may live your dreams some day Marriet! Thank you for this very special comment. I was fortunate growing up in the country, though didn’t realize how lucky until later in life. :)
