Happy 2011, Year of the Rabbit!!!
I photographed this very young bunny under my dogwood tree last spring. I think it must have been his very first day out of the nest so he lay quietly watching me as I managed to get several shots. Most were too dark, so I decided to do him as a watercolor. I am dreaming of spring today.
4" by 4" miniature watercolor, Strathmore coldpress 140#, Winsor and Newton watercolors
They are just so precious, aren’t they? Until they eat your hostas! Nice work on the eye and the grape hyacinths too!
Right! Once they even ate my marigolds? I appreciate the comment on the grape hyacinths and the eye of the bunny. It is always nice to hear what people like about a painting. Cheers!
I thought marigolds were immune to pests! So much for that theory, but then all rules are made to be broken. I like the ears and the nose as well!
I thought so too, and that is why I planted them. It was very dry at the time and I don’t think there was much around for them to eat otherwise. Thanks again!! :)
