Hi, thanks for dropping in to visit me. Take your time to browse around at my “Work”.

I am by no means a great photographer yet as I am still learning my way around a camera. I hope that one day I will be able to achieve the standard of work I have seen others upload.

With all that said and done I suppose I should tell you a little about the person hiding behind the camera lens.

Where do we start???? Well, you know my name is Ruth so we will move on a little from there.

I have been involved in Community Welfare for 24 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. I get great satisfaction from being there to help people who are not as fortunate as others. For the vast majority of this time I have worked with some “Hard Cases”.

These times gave me the most satisfaction. Being able to help people to help themselves, and seeing the end results, really gives me a buzz.

The following quotation has been attributed to both Stephen Grellet and William Penn. I don’t know which of them actually said it but it’s about the meaning not who said it first.

It is this philosophy alone that got me involved with Community Services. I live by this and for this way of thinking.

“I shall pass through this world but once.

Any good, therefore, that I can do, or any kindness I can show, to any human creature, let me do it now.

Let me not defer nor neglect it for I shall not pass this way again”

If only everyone would adopt this ideal we would live in a perfect world but in reality that will never happen. Doing the work I do helps change a few little things and that is what matters.

Onto the Photography side of me
I started with a little pocket digital and have moved up the ladder a little. This is what I am using as my foundation and I will build it up from here.
