Art and photography runs in both sides of my family for two generations. Painting on both and photography on my dads. I grew up in Down east Maine in the country. I first started to draw when I was 10. Then I went to oil paint on canvas my junior year and sold my first oil painting to the secretary at school. Then to hand painting pewter figures in 2000. For the past 3 years I been doing photography.

In 1996 I entered the North American Open Poet Contest.
My poem was in the semi-finalist “The National Library of Poetry”. The poem is called, “True Love, Never Dies”. I am very pleased that it was published in the book called, “Daybreak on the land”. I had written the poem after a special person who passed away September 1991.

Then in 2006 I entered in the Juried Photography Contest called, “Beauty of Biddeford Through a Lens”. This was put on for donations for the Joyful Harvest Neighborhood Center. The photo is called , “The pool”. I am happy to say I got Second place winner in Amateur. It was my first entry and display in the local library.

I appreciate fine details in all craftsmanship, Art, and architect. This is why I love to take photo’s of statues, gates, anything with fine detail. Black and white is my favorite.
