These stunningly beautiful Tigers come from the Island of Sumatra. They weigh between 90-120kg. They have webbing between their toes that, when spread, makes Sumatran Tigers very fast swimmers.

They are critically endangered due to habitat loss and poaching. There is approximately 300-350 remaining in the wild.

This beauty was photographed at Mogo Zoo on the South Coast of NSW.

    A terrific tiger portrait. I love tigers and is a shame they’re threatened. More should be done to protect them; eg, shoot to kill poachers. None of this arresting nonsense…anyway, a fave for my colllection. >Ron<

  • Thanks so much for commenting on my tiger. A big thanks for the fav, I really appreciate it. Poachers {{sigh}}

    Stunning photograph of this wonderful looking beastie Angela ! We were lucky enough to be taken to Steve Erwin’s Australia Zoo near Brisbane a while back and the Tigers there were fascinating.

  • Thanks ever so much for your lovely comment. I haven’t been to the Zoo in Brisbane. Hopefully one day I will be able to visit.
