Ruby The Tank Engine Toot Toot - All Aboard by

Rust and peeling paint on metal sheet that looks like a little train

This really made me laugh and I wanted to share it with you. The train had to be a she, there are far to many male ones and her name had to be Ruby.

The Steam Train’s Coming ’Round the Bend by Shelby Forrest

In a sleepy little mountain town
On a hazy day in June
The train depot was alive with folks
’Cause the train would be there soon.

This “dinosaur” was the only train
That stopped in the little town
The diesels couldn’t make the grades -
Just too many ups and downs.

On a scheduled day once every month
A loud ‘toot, toot’ will send
Nearly all the people in town to watch
As the train puffs round the bend.

The steam shoots high into the sky
As the fireman throws on wood,
Once again, the train has made the grade
(As we always knew it would.)

Excitement displayed by the people show
Each visit has made their day
And tends to prove an important point
The steam train’s here to stay.

OMG, this is so cool! I’ll have to show this to my hubby — he’s a train buff and this is his favorite, the old steam engines.

  • Hahaha Dot Im still giggling and trying to picture your hubby’s face. He will probably think we are all mad. Hope he loves Ruby though. Thank you for such a lovely reaction my dear friend xx
