HI Angela, Not having ever been to Scotland (hmm, bad thing for a person with the family name of McLaughlin!), I am curious about your encounter with this magnificent stag… was he curious about you and that is why you were able to get such a close shot – showing both him and the glen so well? Tell us the story about the moment.

Can you educate me as to “stag”? Does your part of the world use “stag” as simply denoting the “male” or more as a species moniker like our “elk”?
