Hohenpeissenberg is a municipality in Bavaria, Weilheim-Schongau. The former mining town located in the center of the Pfaffenwinkel. Scenic is the place marked by the nearly 1000 meter high Hohenpeissenberg, which rises to a fairly central location in the area and offers a beautiful view of the Alps. Previously, the mountain as a place of pilgrimage and is well known now a popular tourist destination. On the mountain, there is now a radio and television tower and a meteorological observatory, which is the oldest mountain weather station is in the world.
