Advanced skiers tear down the descent from the Kolbensattel (Blue Run)(1,280 meters), beginners practice on one of the lower slopes near the parking area. Overall, a chairlift and seven tow lifts are in action for skiers, of which the four training lifts are ideally suited for children.
Provision is available for fortification between two runs. Oberammergau has more to offer than just woodcarvings and the Passion Play.
The altitude and the extensive Ammertal also turn Oberammergau into a paradise for cross-country skiers. Not only old-hands will find cross-country pleasure here, the free trail network of about 50 kilometres offers even the inexperienced all manner of possibilities!
