Getting healthy requires you to see yourself as healthy (or fit or slimmer or sleeping better or … fill-in-the-blank) before you even get there. It’s a form of emotional fitness and mental retraining. So, for example, if your goal is to lose weight for a wedding this summer, here’s what you’d do:
•Imagine yourself feeling fit and sexy, wearing that perfect-sized dress, before you even start to change your eating habits.
•Visualize taking that dream trip of yours, completely pain and headache-free, because you started drinking more water, and getting more sleep.
•Revel in the image of standing on top of that mountain with your arms in the air in a victory dance because you had the energy to make that climb—because you got your blood sugar balanced, lost 20 pounds, and star…

Excuses & Circumstances

We all have some ingrained excuses – many of them seem real to us. There is a difference between an EXCUSE and a description of your current CIRCUMSTANCE. We can confuse the two. Usually your current circumstances BECOME an excuse and it’s easy to hide behind it because no one can argue with your circumstance. But you are MORE than your circumstance and you can, through trial, effort and faith, transcend your circumstance. Because you are NOT your circumstance. You are SO much more than that! You are an Infinite Soul connected to the Infinity of The Divine and for a short while, you are in this body that you inhabit. Weight = Wait!!!

The following method works wonders in rapidly and healthfully releasing excess weight

Close your eyes in a quiet place and breathe deeply. Focus on your excess weight and hold the intention of having a conversation with it. Silently ask the excess weight: “Why are you with me? What purpose are you serving? What am I waiting for?”

Listen to the answer, which may surprise you. Most likely, the excess weight will tell you that it’s trying to protect you from something.

Ask the excess weight: “What are you trying to protect me from?”

Say to the excess weight: “Thank you for your offer to protect me. I appreciate your help. From now on, I will protect myself without your help. You are now free to leave in a peacefully and healthfully way. Thank you.”

Building Confidence

Confidence is learnt, not inherited.

If you lack confidence, it probably means that you were criticised or undermined as a child.

If your message was ‘You are singing out of key’, remind yourself of the friends you have and stick a message on your mirror saying ‘My voice is wonderful and creates goosepimples’ or ‘I am made to be on a stage!’

What you think about you will bring about. Confident people think themselves successful & prosperous and attract these things.

Run a kind of internal mind movie where you are doing well. Imagine just how well you’ll do and tell yourself you’re going to succeed.

Just before a big date, relax, stand tall, hold your head up, relax your shoulders and stand with your weight evenly balanced. Smile to raise your spirits.

My grandparents were married for over half a century, and played their own special game from the time they had met each other. The goal of their game was to write the word “shmily” in a surprise place for the other to find. They took turns leaving “shmily” around the house, and as soon as one of them discovered it, it was their turn to hide it once more.
