As I walk the streets of night alone, I wonder.
Why, is it that survival is the only instinct left to humans?
How is it that they can be content with the lives that they are taught to just accept?
Women don’t look for strong mates, and men don’t look for healthy women.
They are content, it disgusts me!
My instincts are better than that, and I am not as alone as I was.
I double back, allowing him to hear me.
For there is only one instinct left to humans, survival.
When they know their life is at risk, the fear kicks in.
Fear is the elixir that adds just the right amount of adrenaline to the blood, like ageing a fine wine.
Tonight this man who stumbled across my path will remember his instincts and realize, a little too late, that not all creatures have forgotten!
