The Old Barge. The working boat no longer works, it’s life at an end, high and dry at the edge of the sea it watches the other boats with envious eyes, never to float again. The sun goes down and fills the sky with pink and orange rays, colouring the old boat as if to warm it on this summer’s night.

Blakeney, Norfolk

sea, sun, dry, rest, tide, high, blue, boat, rope, ship, wreak, barge, green, light, ocean, window, sunset, yellow, orange, clouds, mooring, flowers, seaside, evening, grounded, tied up

My main areas of photography are landscape, macro and abstract although I tend to photograph anything that catches my eye.

Saw the black and white version and thought ‘yeah, this is gonna be better than whatever the colour version is’…but now, seeing both, I can’t decide! Both great in their own right!
