Wet Withens, Eyam Moor by Andy Stafford

Wet Withens, Eyam Moor by

Wet Withens is an oddly difficult to find stone circle on Eyam Moor. We spent ages trudging across the moor through the heather, and in the end we found it by accident just after we’d given up. The sun, which had popped out from behind the clouds a few times during the afternoon, made a brief appearance to light up this grass and the heather.

I love this black and white scenery, Andy …
It doesn’t have any pretentious and is wonderful in it’s simplicity !

Lovely shot..is that Eyam as in the Roses of Eyam?

  • Thanks Jamie – yes it is – the moor is not far from Eyam village.
