“Of all the places to find this book” Jerry muttered.
Finding a book on Beacon Island beach was odd, but even more surprising was that it was Gary Crew’s new book, ‘Strange Objects’.
“What’s up mate?” called Clive.
“I just found a book and it’s freaky because I know it’s sort of about this island”
On the inside cover was written – To Saskia, with love, Tony x.
Why was it in the water? Had it fallen off a yacht? Maybe Saskia had thrown it into the sea, no longer wanting to be reminded of Tony. Maybe Tony had thrown it into the sea to spite Saskia.
Jerry liked the idea that she had ditched the book. He said her name aloud “Saskia”. It sounded exotic.
He stuffed the book into his jacket pocket vowing to search for her upon his return to Perth.

Eeeeuuuu!!
Nice story Andy. I like the way that the discovery has given him a mission to accomplish.
Thanks Ian – yeah, I think this may go somewhere as a longer story. Hope you’ve warmed up over there :)
