This guy was a crewman on one of the yachts competing in the Three Peaks Race 2012,

He had not been crewing on a yacht before and was a bit shaken and excited by his experience.

What had happened was a gale blew up with winds of up to seventy knots. A couple of yachts had run aground and only about half the fleet was able to get into Lady Barron.

I can imagine how exciting it is to be on a yacht at night in a storm for my first yachting experience.

IN this picture he is taking a photo of the water which was still steaming from the wind. The wind was still around fifty knots.

One thing I found was the sea spray made my lens nearly opaque in only a few seconds. Though I think that helped this picture.

    yes, the weather gives the picture an interesting look Andrew. Would take guts to be a sailor on a small yacht.

  • I am glad it was not me Geof. I have trouble with rollercoasters now too bloody exciting lol. Yacht in a storm hahhah
