This is a picture of my daughter when she was about two climbing stairs from the hold of a sailing ship.

There is a bit of light above my daughter head that I considered burning out but I think the picture works better with the flare.

This picture is best viewed large as there is some detail of the ladder and my daughters legs and ladder. I had another version a bit darker with less detail in the dark bits but I think this is a better version.

    Beautiful and soft! Gorgeous lighting,the flare added interest and cast the right amount of light showing interesting outlines. Brilliant work!

  • Thanks Pat this is from some old negatives I have.

    When printed out on silver paper it is a very subtle print and one of my favorite images.

    Daughter is now twenty three so this was a while ago
