There are two versions of this print. The first version is a sepia toned print printed on warm tone paper and I think has a sort of lord of the rings type of feel.

The second version was selenium toned and I printed it much darker. I couldnt decide which I liked better so both went in.

This version is based on the selenium toned print

white, landscape, black

Thanks Maka, the same for me when I see your film work. For image quality film is so much better than digital. This pic was done on Ilford Pan F 35mm. In digital all we would have seen is white behind the trees.

I am using digital more than I used to as I am getting better at image quality. But I have five rolls of exposed medium format film in my desk ready for development. I am also going to start printing in the dark room again. Do you still print in a darkroom.

There is something about the quality of light in film vs digital I’ve noticed Andrew.. it’s been yrs since I’ve shot in film, but sorting my old shots on film, made me realize there is more than a subtle difference between the two..

The tones here are gorgeous and the glowing light behind the trees brings so much life and energy to the shot, I really like this.. ;-))
