The hill-top village of Castelluccio rises up from the floor of the Piano Grande at its north Eastern edge. This is a view from the North on the road from Visso. The conflicting weather systems of the Mediterranean to the West and the Adriatic to the East collide over the Sibillini mountains, evidenced by the cloud-bank around the Eastern rim of the Piano Grande.
