These are ‘espigueiros’ in Soajo, Parque Nacional da Peneda-Geres, Portugal.
They are very common in this part of Portugal and each village has its own style. Some age back centuries, some are more recent. They are basically grain and maize stores to protect the contents from weather and rats and are often grouped together in a communal area.
