Statue in the rain, Villa Cimbrone, Ravello, Amalfi Coast, Italyby Andrew Jones

Various extremities of the statue rubbed to bright bronze from the touch of passing hands.Mist and rain rolling off the coastal hills obscured the famous view from Villa Cimbrone.
Thank you Tina, it was one of those days when the bad weather made it an effort to go out, but we had to because we were on holiday. But somehow Villa Cimbrone was even more magical; all to ourselves with this eerie mist and absolute silence.
HOW BEAUTIFUL—-especially the ‘naked’ places!!! And the textures and the mist—really special image, Andrew. Peaceful weekend to you, Sass
Thank you Sass, it is most kind of you to leave this lovely comment. Villa Cimbrone is a magical place and I’m delighted you like this photograph. Much appreciated, Andrew

Gorgeous textures and colours Andrew. I love your comment about the touch of passing hands. ;)
Thanks Roger, it is probably one of the most life-like and tactile sculptures I’ve seen
