The Vale do Zezere is located in the Parque Natural da Serra da Estrela and is the longest U shaped glacial valley in Europe. The walk commences just above Manteigas and joins the road at the head of the valley. Enjoy pure clear mountain water from the many springs and fonts along the road. Beware in mid-summer there is no shade!
