Untitled 23

A song about hope or lack of hope, but more directly about writers in media writing films/songs/tv shows that give people hope, although the reality is somewhat less hopeful and less clear cut.

Your words are a casual fling, a modern design
To further alienate the thought of discussion
A temptation to progress through a set of traffic lights
To Open a door that manifests itself as your key contribution

Your words are a casual fling, a modern ideal of love
A network of unsocialable feelings floating through an imaginary tide
Wearing nothing but a naive smile, you approach the end of line
To a crowd of commuters. You blend into the scenery.

Your words are a casual fling, a modern design
A metaphor for the greater good, a hope within a dithering society
The hypothesis of a soul searcher, compressed amongst the garbage
To open a door to a crowd of strangers and let every one pass by

Your words are a casual fling, a modern design
To further alienate the thought of discussion
A temptation to queue in a line and pay for it in paperback
To walk through the door and still be undecided
