This is the definition of a perfect photo! May i ask what camera you used?

Hi Mark, thanks for the comment. Really appreciated, it was a cold day (for a Brit anyway!).

The image was taken with a Canon 400D with a Sigma 18-200mm lens using a tripod.

Three separate images were taken at -1 +0 and +1 exposure. These images then were put through Photomatrix Pro which blends them together and if you keep the sturation effects down to a minimum you get a great image (unless of course you want the effects!). A bit of finishing off in PS3 such as removing dust spots, a horrible magenta tinge (which can still be kind of seen at the top left due to lens flare) and adjusting a few levels and this is what came out the other end.

Heavy processing yes, but I’m pleased with the image and to be honest the camera model in this type of image is really not a factor.

    Thanks!

Nice work. It has all the hallmarks of good composition, and the processing is spot on

Andy, I’dve never pictured you with the same body and lens as I’ve got (at least until I went 50D). Gives me hope that if you can do well in this business, I stand a reasonable chance!
