Artist's Description

A very early start to a location located towards the northern fringes of Dartmoor, twas a very frosty morn registering -3 deg

The site currently consists of 23 stones still standing with another 11 fallen and has a 27 meter diameter, the tallest stone being 2.5 metres high.

It is thought that the original circle consisted of more than 60 granite stones.

The view shown is towards the north-west as this was producing the better sunrise colours in the sky.

Canon 5DII, 17-40 f16 at 1.3secs iso200, using a 3 stop ND grad filter to hold the sky
