Bombo - In Spotlight by Tatiana R

Currently unavailable for purchase

Finally the rain stopped and the sun came out from behind the clouds, illuminating that alien landscape of Bombo Boneyard, that industrial wasteland of the end of the 19th century. For about an hour we were rewarded by great light and fantastic cloud formations sweeping in all directions. You can literally “point-and-shoot”, photographically speaking :-), after adjusting all the filters, of course!

Thank you for looking, best viewed large!

Wow from me too! That life buoy in the background is the only reason I can tell where you were all that time! Love this shot!

  • Cool! Thank you! You know I do prefer the black and white image, but in this case decided to go with the Color!

It looks almost apocalyptic in nature. It is quite beautiful though. I love the effect of the long exposure on the waves and the clouds!

  • Thank you John. This place is an old metal quarry of 1880’ and 1900’s, and really is an example how people destroyed the nature in the past. So yes, it is quite apocalyptic, like the way you put it. Thank you for the Fav and watchlist!

This is amazing, I think I need to go there and see this place.

  • Thanks Brad! Oh yes, you should! Quite different from the Sydney Northern Beaches! In fact, very different from many other places :-))
