From the yesterday morning shoot at Turimetta with Peter
Very cold morning, and I was only wearing long shorts and sandals, and was freezing by the end of a three hour shoot. But must admit, later, in a warmth of a lounge room looking at the photos on a computer screen, (after having a hot bath to thaw out my legs LOL, coffee and breakfast), I was glad that I persevered. Even if I only this one shot, it was definitely worth it. The light was great but extremely hard to control. I was using up to three Lee ND grad filters, moving them around the frame to keep up with the fleeting clouds and the sun, disappearing from behind them and appearing again.
There were only three or four surfers at that end of the beach, and they were soon gone, and so few locals walking their dogs. Only lone fisherman and photographers were left. Must give credits to that fisherman holding very still during the 15 seconds exposure of this photo!
