After a few hours of drive we were approaching the mountains. It was foggy and raining. Horses are usually portrait free spirit, but those had such a gloom look about them, like they were under heavy burden of sky, that was so low, they could feel it on their necks…
. . .
We have to go…

Heavy burden of sky
Bends our necks.

Our spirit wants to run
Away and free from gloom,
And sun awaiting us
Behind that hill,
Beyond the fence…

And only there we’ll be FREE!
. . .
Can
Someone
OPEN
The Gate?

Love the subjects…….love the mist…….love the countryside……..beautiful capture!!

  • Thank you for your comment Whisperingruth. I have tried to adjust the image in photoshop, I felt that the sky needed a darkening a bit, but couldn’a do anything. So I left it as is but replaced with a cropped version, which I originally liked better

Something very theatrical in that image, it looks like as if they are performing something, or wish to say you something… I wondering if you showing them carrot or something to keep their attention focused….smile

  • Hi Lara, they wanted me to open the Gate, see description! :-)
