Brilliant Tatiana. God I love B/W, and this is exceptional. the vanishing point, the light and shadow. Awesome.

  • Tatiana R replied

Thank you kindly Kevin, appreciate it. I saw the vanishing line of benches, but it was missing something, so I included human element to it

  • Tatiana R replied

Thank you Jenni!! It was fun! I’d press the shutter, walk into the shot, sit down, stay still and try not to breath for 15 seconds and walk out again, at the same time trying not to worry about my camera doing a runner on me :-)) LOL Fortunately, at that time (it was about 9 pm), not many people walking around Southbank, but I did get few strange glances!

  • Joanne Bradley

    Joanne Bradley

Congratulations on the homepage feature Tatiana! Wonderful nighttime shot, great conversion to b & w and outstanding dof!

  • Tatiana R replied

Thank you Joanne! I often shoot in Black and white and in RAW. So it comes on a screen as B&W but I can convert back to colour if I want

  • Joanne Bradley

    Joanne Bradley

My mistake Tatiana! Regardless, a stunning composition and well deserved feature!

  • Tatiana R replied

Oh No Joanne, it is not a mistake! With RAW files it is just easieer to see when you take photos intentionally in Black and white, but essentially the beauty of RAW is that all the pixels are there, and you can choose the mode, in the same way you choose on the camera when you choose Portrait or Landscape or Monochrome. That’s what I meant! :-)))
