Trinculo

The iron skeleton is all that remains on the Trinculo – an iron sailing barque which was driven ashore by gale in 1879. Immediately next to Trinculo, the sand is covering the remains of another vessel – the PS Paynesville.

Along the Ninety Mile Beach at the costline of East Gippsland, Victoria, Golden Beach near Seaspray.

    It was pretty cool place there Martin, called Ninety Mile beach. It’s pretty long, some ninety miles or so… LOL

    Hi Mel, I really liked your photos os SS Dicky, and when I saw a photo of this wreck in a tourist brochure, I was determined to find it, and preferably by sunrise. But missed the timing because it wasn’t easy. Looking forward to meet with you when you are in Sydney in a week time

    I’ve seen Ninety Mile Beach marked on maps. Ben Elton wrote that the Victorian Australians were factual rather than imaginative when it came to naming places. Hence The Great Sandy Desert and The Great Snowy Mountains!
