Found this photo from my recent trip while looking for some archived photos. Thus is my first photo of a waterfall. It was in early morning light with sun at the top of the cascades so I got glare on a lot of the photos. Thank you for looking, please view larger, critique welcome

Hi David, no, it wasn’t last Monday but about a month ago when I ws staying in Leura for a weekend. I got lucky that morning with some frost photos, but I can tell you, it was bloody freezing at the Luera cascades, I had my gloves and beany on!

Thank you for your nice comment and favoring Michael! I am always very critical of my shots, and my 17-85 lens as not as crisp and sharp and does not perform very well in low light as I would have liked. Quite often I think I have taken a great shot only to discover after downloading that I am just not happy with it. I am very glad that this shot got a good response

Our Blue mountains are very beautiful indead, especially in winter, when air is crisp and fresh, vegetation is asways green. You should visit one day! Cheers, Tanya

Thanks Martin, this place is actually in 90 minutes drive from where I live, but I try to visit at least few times a year, especially in winter

I know what you mean about thinking that you got a great shot when out shooting then when it’s downloaded it’s not so great. But this is very crisp and perfectly exposed in what looks like difficult lighting conditions with the sun shining it the top half. hat’s off for such great skills!

A rather tricky shot Tatiana…balancing the light on the water in the background with the shade of the rocks in the foreground. The slow shutter speed worked a treat on the cascading water. Nice image.Well done.
