I love the detail of the gargoyles on top of Notre Dame. The fact they are so old and have survived so long is a testament to the craftsmen of that time.

Pentax 6 meg focus on gargoyle, metered off sky and brought detail out in gargoyle through photo shop

Photography has made me view the world in slow motion. I now attempt to see what is there and not only what wants to be seen. One day I hope people will see me as a photographer.

Oh! I so wanted an opportunity to see this view when in Paris. Alas, we were 20 minutes late for the last admittance up to the top of Notre Dame that evening.

    Simply perfection.

I’m expecting Quasimodo any moment now….
I was so inspired by Victor Hugo’s Notre Dame when I was a child…. to this day it remains one of the driving forces behind my longing to see Paris…. That, & my love of Impressionism.
this image further fuels my dreams… Thankyou.
