Oh! I so wanted an opportunity to see this view when in Paris. Alas, we were 20 minutes late for the last admittance up to the top of Notre Dame that evening.

    Simply perfection.

I’m expecting Quasimodo any moment now….
I was so inspired by Victor Hugo’s Notre Dame when I was a child…. to this day it remains one of the driving forces behind my longing to see Paris…. That, & my love of Impressionism.
this image further fuels my dreams… Thankyou.

There are a few images on bubble of this exact gargoyle and the Tower. I like this, the gargoyle detail and lighting is perfect and you can’t do better than that!

Great shot, I love different views of famous places… I have to ask is it a composite?

  • Andrew Wilson replied 7 days ago

Thanks Justin, not composite, just one shot. Although lots of dodging to bring out detail in gargoyle.
