Fabulous capture Andrew !The Cicada is a very big meal for the Robberfly !
Thanks, Trish. The robberfly managed to fly around with the cicada, quite well, too.
Great catch – both you and the robberfly!
Thanks, Enivea. There was no way the robberfly was going to leave this meal behind.
That is a different meal to see one with Andrew.
A day later I saw another robberfly (different species) with a different prey item in almost the same location.
Fantastic shot,a Cicada’s a big meal!!
And a lot to carry around, too. Thanks.
Brilliant Macro Andrew, and Happy 2012
Cheers Jude
Thanks, Jude and to you, too.
Nooo, not the cicada :( Fantastic image though Andrew.
There are plenty more cicada’s – and a robberfly has to eat, too. ;)
