The Face at Sydneys Luna Park is one of Australia’s icons. as such its hard to get a different shot of the landmark. This shot has been done before but never by me. It was our work Christmas party in the park and I was loitering around outside wanting toi catch the Sunset on the harbour. I had already noted the puddle out front and had marked it for this type of shot. I new I wanted an almost dark skyto make this the shot I wanted. Positioning the camera low to get the maximum effect of the reflection I waited for the right look with people wandering past. I wanted one person to almost look like the focus of the eyes. I find this face to be slightly sinister and I wanted a sky to really point this out.
Shot with a Nikon D3s using the 16-35mm lens at f5.6. the ISO was 400 and the exposure was 1/15th Second. Processed from RAW in CS5 with little adjustment.
