Approaching DANGER! by

An apt name for the image as this Storm Battered the counrty town of Singleton as I shot this. Taken from Singleton Heights looking back toward town. The storm Cell had it all, heavy rain, A deluge if small and medium size hail and increadible wind.
Shot with a Nikon D300 and the 18-70mm lens.

This image was featured on NBN tv on the night of the 22nd December as the Weather Shot of the Day.

Great shot Andrew. I love extreme weather events.

  • This was an amazing Extreme Weather Event. Being blown across 1 lane of the highway by the wind and getting totally drenched to the bone in a 5 second dash from the car to the inside of KFC. The close lightning strike (150m at most) that took out the phone I was using (stupidly), and the flooded roads. On the whole a great storm chase. Thanks for the comment Andrew

Excellent shot Andrew, a weather event, not climate change.

  • No Phil not climate change, just a great storm. I dont believe I have ever caught climate change in any of my weather images.
    Thanks for the comment.
