I started this work in 1999. The majority of it was actually completed then. Basically all I’ve retouched since then is a little saturation here, a little burning there… Nothing from the original work from all those years ago… I kinda wish I could preseve the original file data to prove it but it’s a 28mg tiff so I’m not going to upload it… The main shot is actually something I photographed in 1998. I know it was scanned at 2:40:42am 17/09/1998… I always and still stay up late… Only reason I included that info was because it was still there… another reason to love modern technology. The background shot was from a play being performed by “IHOS OPERA” in Qld. Everyone involved has a disability. The guy in the suit actually has Cerebral Palsy. Which makes it extra special that he was able to move out onto the stage under all those sparks. The two kissing were composited into the mirror which was also made in photoshop… I’ve always loved this image… I pretty much stopped my digital comping and manipulation since because I couldn’t come up with anything better… haha. Anyway hope you guys like it.

It’s certainly an interesting idea for a composition. I’m most impressed by the time-commitment that’s gone into it up until now!
Wow great image and like knowing the background story, this would look amazing billboard size.
that’s cool
Billboard would be cool… Does anyone have any idea about resolution and billboards? I’ve been trying to figure this out for a while… How big does your file size need to be for a billboard?
Andrew, this is incredible….speechless! Love seeing people out there pushing the boundaries and with the time spent it shows passion for your art! Love it!!
