Autumn in Wharfedale

The bracken on the hillsides above Kettlewell, in the Yorkshire Dales, starting to take on it’s rich golden and brown hues before it dies down for the winter.
The view is looking North towards Buckden Pike, which is the hill in the distance.
The lane on the left of the shot is Top Mere Road, this leads up out of Kettlewell village and then either back down Starbotton, up onto Buckden Pike or across to Tor Dyke.

Thank you Lois! This was almost the last shot of the day, I would have really liked to explore along the path through the bracken but I didn’t have time as I had spent too much time shooting and not enough time walking earlier in the day! :)

Thank you very much Kathy! Almost perfect, lol, I was waiting for a patch of sunshine to hit the bracken on the hillside just below me but it never happened. Still I’m still quite pleased with results anyway. Maybe next time :)
