Cool montage. Do you think the images of your family would look better in black and white or a sepia tone…just a thought. Might fit better with Glenn’s old postcard comment which I like.

  • Andrew Mark replied

ill take that into consideration. appreciate your tips Ian, thank you.

    Very professional quality work Andrew.

The key to recognising excellent digital post production is that you don’t notice it.

Obviously this is digital work but you don’t see the digital work in this image.

Excellent. I love the ’’faded’’ look of the background image. very 1960’s ’’postcard’’ look about it. Good font style and colour. The distressed edges looks great too.

Maybe reduce the intensity of the 5x shadows to balance with the faded background a bit, but I am being really picky there.

    EXCELLENT WORK

Very cool idea and you executed it well. The only thought I had, considering the title, would be to try another one with the photos hanging from tree branches (but then, maybe that’s too obvious)!

  • Andrew Mark replied

no no, that is actually a great idea! i think im going to try it, you might not see it here on redbubble, but i will definatly give it a shot.

    thanks for the idea!

Funky work mate. Keep it up. My only thing is that while the photos cast shadows, the ropes holding them don’t. Still, excellent.

  • Andrew Mark replied

good point, ill have to look into doing that. thank you.

the candycane hangers are a nice touch, somehow I think any shadow cast by them, that behaved like the shadows for the larger elements, would not be very apparent, maybe you just need to suggest the rope’s shadow (a started “shadow allowed” to trail off for each, or one to represent many).
