blood red sun runs
hide & seek goes the day
hard to find seek as I may
will the night kiss me the same
no not warm but cool as dawn
Moonlight offers no calm
but ‘lo, what is this?
Like a canvas is this surface
under this sky
you and I are of the same ink
ink that drew this mountain, this tree, this lake.
Black and white is not our only sight
this place is only as colorful as the light we let shine in it day and night
so perhaps that caveman in all of us
need not fear need not fuss
for the setting sun might no longer mean an end
but the beginning of what you have planned
for tomorrow, together with your fellow man.
