I was out for a walk yesterday (15.04.2012) and as I was walking down my street I decided to put my camera in to Shutter Speed priority mode and detach the lens slightly so the camera wouldn’t correct any of the settings. So I kept on walking and look this shot.

Initially, it was very washed out so I opened it in Camera RAW 7.0 (Because I shot in RAW this made everything so much easier) and started adjusting the lighting. One I had done that I opened it into Photoshop and applied a black to white gradient fill and adjusted it to give a high contrast black and white look.

I am really happy with this :)

Edited in Adobe Camera RAW
Shot in RAW on Sony NEX5 with 18-55mm lens
(taken free-hand ie. No tripod)

I’m a simple guy with a complicated mind. Even I have trouble figuring out what is going on inside.
Photography lets me express myself in ways that I love. It allows me to be creative and experiment. I might not be the best but I sure do love when I see my photography working.
