The Melancholy Cycle by

I saw this little Bee on one of the plants in the front garden as I was walking home from 6th Form and it just kept flying from one to the other. So I ran inside, went up to my room and ran outside again setting up my camera.
I put this shot down to chance so I focused on a flower that was on it’s own and just waited for the Bee to fly onto it. Thankfully it did just as I’d finished focusing and setting up the right settings.
I had desaturated the image as well as other things, to get a washed out sad feel to suit the title.

This title was chosen because, as a friend pointed out, it looked melancholy. So I thought to myself “The life of a flower is onto to populate with it’s own kind, that is it’s prime purpose” and I found that pretty sad.
Anyway, I hope you like this image :)
