Vibrancy is Lost, But The Saturate Remainsby AndrewBerry

I chose this title because of the truth when looking at the subject. This is the remains of a leaf that I found a few days ago in my back garden. It used to be a beautiful and vibrant leaf, but now that is all gone and all that remains is the skeleton.
The setup here is… Subject (leaf) Black background (laptop protector case) Light source (my torch with the bare bulb)
Edited in Photoshop CS5 Sony NEX5 with 18-55mm lens. (Camera mounted on tripod)
I have just read your journal. You need to manage your parents expectations carefully but HAVE to carry on taking photographs – its clearly something that you have a passion and talent for.
I am definitely going to carry on taking photographs, it is a big part of me now. Thank you very much for your kind words of saying I have a talent for this :) It really does mean a lot to me. Thank you for dropping by BigCat :)
Glorious shot Andy, I agree with BigCatPhotos, you definitely have an eye for good composition. Stick at it Andy, you are producing some wonderful shots for our Album
Thank you so very much!! I will definitely stick at it :)
What a lovely study of textures, good choice juxtaposing the delicate leaf against the coarse fabric and the lighting is really perfect. Great job!
I’m really glad that you picked up on the two contrasting textures. I’d never seen a skeleton leaf before so I knew I had to do it justice, and that’s where this shot came from :) Thank you so much for your favourite, very much appreciated :)
