Beautiful colours and leading lines Andrew – well done :-)
Susan Zohn, 11 months ago
Wow this is beautiful. Love the lights against the skyview. Cropping made this shot and of course your talent! Love it.
Cadence, 11 months ago
A lovely panorama =)
James Pierce, 11 months ago
Cool – everyone has shot from that very spot (me included) I love this shot, the extra wideness makes it really original. Stitched pano ? widelux ? It’s great anyway !
Andrew Brown, 11 months ago
Thank, Kim, Susan, Cadence and James for your kind comments.
Yes James – Photomerge in PS CS3 (Does all the hard work) – 4 images with a 10-22 mm wide angle at 10mm I think off the top of my head, just to exagerate things.
Susan, I cant take all the credit for the cropping, by the time the 4 images were merged the size was pretty well defined. I just needed to clean up the edges and repair the corners – but thanks anyway!

love night scenes and this is beautiful
Peter Marin, 11 months ago
Andrew, this is magnificent and really captures the essence of what the Melbourne skyline has to offer at night, your work here is most inspiring. All the best.

I’ve got to get out there one night after seeing this
mick8585, 11 months ago
I presume this is off the bridge. Top treatment here mate. If some person doesnt buy this they have no idea. Its an angle not seen as much, yet its the most accessible. Great work.
sammigirl, 11 months ago
I’m no photographer – as you can see by the shots of my work…..but that’s an amazing shot! I’m a Melbournian and proud of it…and that just does us proud!
Keep up the good work!
Sam
Andrew Brown, 11 months ago
Thanks mugshot, there’s plenty to have a go at.
Andrew Brown, 11 months ago
Mick, thanks so much for your comments. Yep from the bridge. I was a bit concerened that I had gone overboard on the extreme angle (from rail to rail) but it seems to have worked OK.
Andrew Brown, 11 months ago
Wow Sammigirl, thankyou so much for those kind words. I’ve just had a look at your portfolio and I love your work.
sammigirl, 11 months ago
I still love this one the best…..
I like all of it though! You definitely have a fantastic eye.

Fantastic light and shade and colour!

Don’t know why I didn’t see this earlier Andrew? Fantastic, love the way the rails guide you out…....if you know what I mean and the colours are spectacular. Wonderful capture.

Brett Foster, 11 months ago
Stunning pano Andrew! Don’t give credit to CS3 for this, it can only work with what it has. Obviously you took the time and effort to get it right in the first place and wow, it works very well!
Mandy Fell, 11 months ago
wow fantastic shot, colour in the sky compliments the darkness of the rest of the image beautifully. great work.
Lisa Kenny, 11 months ago
Melbourne really is pretty at night. Love that sky too.
Christine Wilson, 10 months ago

Alan Rodmell, 10 months ago
Excellent pano Andrew. CS3 really does a great stitching job for panoramic shots. I’ve used it several times. This shot is tremendous. A favourite I think

Great shot Andrew, The colours are gorgeous. I’d say the extreme angle (rail to rail) did better than OK, it’s bloody fantastic! For me, those rails add so much to this piece, they really lift it above the average skyline shot.
Only because I like it so much, I suggest checking your horizon line or one of the tall buildings with the measure tool in Photoshop, to me It feels like it’s tilting to the right by the tiniest bit. Still, great work.
Momlee Bhattac..., 10 months ago
Woooow! This is so cool. Beautiful panorama and I really think that the choice of timing was very good. The clouds seem to add so much drama here. Great work, as always!!
Andrew Brown, 10 months ago
Thanks for the comments Jordan and thanks for the tip. It was a bit further out than it needed to be. I have rotated CCW a touch and evened up the right lean on the Eureka tower with the left lean on the Rialto so that it is balanced now. Cheers
Andrew Brown, 10 months ago
Thanks so much Momlee. Your comments are always very much appreciated.

Andrew, I like the way you took your shots before darkness set in totally—there’s nothing like twilight in a cityscape. Your composition is impeccable, as is your job stitching it all together. Amazing pano!

Andrew this is an amazing panorama. The stitching is really well done – undetectable. The reflections and lights are great.
