I have not yet lived!
Why hound me?
I have not lived my life through yet!
Why bind me?
Why put me in chains
At the bidding of those
Who imagine that they know better?
I was born a free man in a free
And glorious world. Do as you will,
As long as you harm no other,
Is the maxim by which I live
And the one that I answer to
I answer to no one
Who by force will tie me,
Will cajole me to act as all others do
Because it’s neater that way.
Screw neater is what I reply
To all who confine the spirit
And have us toe the line.
Damn the line say I
With all the force I can muster.
Let me live my life as I see fit
And not the way you want me to.
I am not yet dead!
Why kill me?
Red bloodied defiance of the “correct” order.
