This good looking chap is my late father, God rest his soul
Fantastic Portrait:)xoxo Thanks For Sharing:)xox
My pleasure, ma’am. It would have been his pleasure as well.
A pipe smoker like my dear old grandfather. Doctor told him that he needed to get as far away from tobacco as possible when he was 73. So he made a pipe that extended the length of his arm and continued to smoke. LOL Great shot!!
Smoking killed the old man – emphysema and asthma. Poor old bugger never did get over his longing tobacco which had had to give up or die at 67 rather 77. My dear old dad will always be remembered for having a pipe in his mouth. I miss him a lot even though he died 23 years ago.
Great portrait! If the tobacco did him in, I at least hope he enjoyed it and although too short, hope his life was full of love and happiness.
Yes he enjoyed life except for the last two years which he said was like slowly drowning. Most certainly, his life was full of love and happiness, He was the best dad in the whole world to my sister and me.
such a touching beautiful and handsome portrait. kind eyes. wonderful soul
Handsome, kind – both of those. Just a truly wonderful dad for a young boy to have and to try to emulate later in adulthood.
How ironic I was drawn top this image today,, I am celebrating my 32 days of cig free, I am 54 yrs. old, and want to live longer, my dad died at 45 of cancer,, sometimes we just need a kick in the head to get it right,, thanks for this image of a loving man,, who just did not get it,, as my dad did not,,, but in our hearts,, are missed dearly for the loving, strong men they were in our lives, peace and love linmarie
Thank you linmarie. I have mange to be nicotine free for three years now. The occasional cigar on high days and holidays is all .
