    I’m rarely tempted to spend my too-little money on DA prints, but this one rattles my credit cards. Ouch. I don’t know if it’s fair for these pictures to be so good.

    I certainly don’t expect to sell any prints . . . I haven’t yet on red bubble, and have sold very few on DA despite having thousands of prints for sale

    AndreJ, maybe we could have a conversation about this off-site. Money isn’t the first concern for making art, but it ought to be a by-product of excellence, unless there is some weird market forces in play, or unethical stuff happening somewhere (traditionally called the vice of injustice, cf the virtue of justice). I want to make good art, but I want to make some money from it too, especially if I got good. And your work is good, and your expenses are real, and you probably hire your models which is itself costly. You can post a short reply here, but I’d like to chat more about it.

    I very much agree with you bruce. . . . I make the art because I love it – but it sure would be nice to pay the bills – expensive camera, model hiring fees etc. . . I’m sure a lot of us are in that dilemma.
