nope, this is all one image. The only adjustments i made were to the exposure and white balance of the RAW file, and then added the slightest of sharpening layers to it

I remember that storm – you’ve captured it so well, you can almost see the ionization in that blue-on-blue near the lightning itself. Any wonder it was included in the Channel Ten Weather Calendar! A magnificent shot. It doesn’t completely rely on nature – you were there to witness it!
