The One?

As we look up to the people we once loved,
That we once truly thought was the one,
We figured out that they could be gone in a blink of an eye.
That in a snap of a finger they could leave us,
In a world of shame, hate, regret, and fear.
A shame of not give them enough stuff they wanted.
Hate of them leaving you behind.
Regret that you threw out your dreams,
For a person who wouldn’t even stay with you for eternity.
And fear of relationships because the same thing could happen again.
But, if the relationship does take a wrong turn,
Make it go on the right road,
And if you can’t fix it,
Don’t stay,
All it will bring you is a lifetime of heartache and pain.
