Ohhh.. Don't Be Such A Drip! - Silver Duck-Wing - NZ by

Please view large to see the drip…The English Game Fowl is one of the oldest strains of poultry breeds that have been used for fighting purposes. Through the Middle Ages the breed was developed by the English Nobility into many varying colours, traits desirable for cock-fighting were chosen by breeders. Cock-fighting became illegal in Britain and Australia in the 1850s and English game fowl are usually kept just by poultry enthusiasts. Many of the original strains have died out, however many varieties remain. The gentle, non-aggressive nature of the Duckwing chickens is perfect for young families… Our little Silver Duckwings are growing fast… the are delightful, full of energy and fun. My fascination with birds began as a child and almost 50 years down the track my love for our feathered friends has not diminished. Once we moved to Tranquillity (our little country retreat) my passion for birds, all nature and wildlife became a digital reality through the lens of my camera.
